I come from two India

Nice! I too come from two India’s where criticism from a stand-up comedian is applauded with a standing ovation, however, still the young will touch the feet of their elders considering them wise in their own right.

Which India do you come from?
Both have the right to their opinions and hence I like Vir Das’s video. The fact that he stands by what he believes in. So does Kangna.

India is equally his and hers and they have all the right to criticize the F out it. That is the beauty of our democracy.

Lastly, I give a rats ass of what either says 🙂
I have bigger fish to fry 😛

But I love vir Das

There is nothing not to love 🙂

He’s a great combination of wit and great looks

he is good-looking, I guess – I will trust women’s opinion on that.
he is witty sometimes too – years of practice, not easy for sure.

Sometimes, goes out of his way to prove how witty he is.

It’s not false, at all.

You are right. Vin and I go do that every evening just to let the world know, we matter.

infact, Vir Das left the stage picked and got into a van where his Indian friends were waiting, so that they could pick a girl and rape her as a part of their evening ritual. Plus he had a point since “a promise had been made” after his dream come true at Kennedy stadium 🙂

In God we Trust, the rest is all Data 🙂

1. It’s not an “apply to all” scenario but an alarmingly high rate.
2. When did data matter in India? How many women report cases is the burning question if am legit comparing numbers.
Marital rape in rural India is reported you think? Maybe 5% of what actually happens gets reported that too in Tier 1.
Honestly, it’s not the fact of VC saying it or anyone else; but the brutality of the statement.
I live here, I see people and I know people to prove it otherwise.
Anyhoo!

1. It’s not an “apply to all” scenario but an alarmingly high rate.
– With great power, come great responsibilities, and words hurt harder than punches…

2. Criticise your country as we have the right to do so – I am a contrarian by nature, hence criticism comes naturally to me.

But making such WILD statements has to have its repercussions. Yes, you live there and you see things, and so have I. I lived in the heart of the melting pot, so I do understand your point of view. Then again, blanket statements like these will be met with criticism too, and why NOT.

When did data matter in India?
Always did and always will be if we want to put things to perspective and have a civil debate. Reading and understanding numbers are intrinsic to India. We give the Lastly, yes you live there and speak from what you see and hence it is my humble attempt at giving you a perspective that is not inside-out but outside-in…

As you don’t dust our dirty laundry in from of your neighbors’ house, VD making a statement in an international forum paints a picture that will be highly distorted about the country which is beloved to you, him, and me in equal measures.

Here is some food for thought:
Of all the countries I have visited, I have been asked by girls almost everywhere…WE want to visit India so much, but are extremely;y scared that we will be abducted and raped as soon as we leave the airport.

My colleague for the last 5 years visited your city (Mumbai) and stayed there for 5 weekdays. The only time she left the hotel was to get to work in the Office Cab, while she was on a constant video call with someone in Singapore just in case, tracking her GPS.

She came back from one of the BEST freaking cities of the world, with nothing but fear of getting raped and killed.

Oh yes, she did order Alphonso mangoes through the concierge because she read they are some of the best in the world.

Let that sink in 🙂
